Mike Gray (Dell): The Main Challenges of Mass Customization
As Mike Gray is considered an expert on Dell’s unique
approach to supply chain management, he is often quoted as “the Supply Chain
Evangelist”.
Working
with Dell for over 15 years he is esteemed as a pioneer in lean
Supply Chain Management. He has been a lead architect for many of the business processes
that allow Dell to achieve its unprecedented levels of inventory while
maintaining industry-leading customer service. The speed and flexibility of
their supply chain allows Dell to foresee and correct potential problems within
the chain. As a member of the
Global Supply Chain Strategies team Mike Gray was commissioned to improve all
tools and processes which Dell and their supplier partners use in order to
monitor and manage the supply chain.

Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) with the Institute for Supply Management and is also
certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) by the American Production
and Inventory Management Society. (APICS)
